About the project

Built because reading gambling regulation should not take all day.

Every sentence of every rule on this site comes from a regulator's own published source. We do the scanning, the cross-referencing, the version-chasing. You get a searchable, linkable, plain-English index that is always current and never behind a paywall.

The old way

Four browser tabs, three PDFs,
and a sticky note that says "check this Friday."

Before

How people actually do this

  • Bookmark the regulator's PDF. Version date: unknown.
  • Re-download it six months later. Scroll to see if anything changed.
  • Cross-reference LCCP Section 3.1 against AGCO Standard 2.05 with two monitors.
  • Forward the "consultation response" email chain to seven people.
  • Wonder if the version you read last quarter is still the current one.

Time-to-answer: hours. Confidence: middling.

After

How it works here

  • One search box returns every matching clause across every jurisdiction.
  • Filters let you slice by risk theme, category, or flagged priority in one click.
  • Every clause has its own URL, so you can link a board paper straight to section 2.05.
  • A bot re-checks every source every two weeks and flags anything that changed.
  • The monitoring log is public, so you can see the last check timestamp yourself.

Time-to-answer: seconds. Confidence: your own eyes on the monitoring log.

What makes it different

Three commitments,
the whole site is built around.

01

Editorial, with the source one click away

Every standard is a plain-English summary of the regulator's own published rule, cross-checked against the primary document. The site points you at the relevant clause and carries the source URL; always read the regulator's own text before filing, launching, or advising. This is a navigation surface, not a substitute for the regulation.

02

Demonstrably current

A public monitoring system re-fetches every source on a fortnightly schedule, hashes the response, and writes an event to a public log whenever the regulator republishes. You can watch it work.

03

Deep-linkable, free, forever

Every clause has a permanent URL. Filter state persists in the URL. There is no login wall, no trial, no enterprise tier. Drop a link into a ticket or memo and it will still resolve in five years.

Matt has spent fifteen years inside iGaming compliance, on every side of the table: as an operator, as a supplier, and inside crown-corporation lotteries. He has read the primary source so many times he can tell you, from memory, which section of which code says what.

Deep working background in

AGCO — Registrar's Standards UKGC — LCCP & RTS MGA — Directives & framework AGLC — Pre-launch Alberta

GamingCompliance.io exists because, after a decade and a half, he was tired of watching smart people waste half a day answering a question that should have taken thirty seconds. There is no secret to any of this. The rules are public. They are just painful to read in the format regulators publish them. This site fixes the format.

It is not a product, a SaaS, or a stealth sales funnel. It is the reference he wanted to have on his own desk, put on the open web so every other compliance lead, counsel, and product manager can use it too.

What this is

A free, navigable, plain-English reading surface over the actual published regulatory instruments for the world's leading iGaming jurisdictions.

What this is not

A compliance platform. A policy engine. A substitute for qualified counsel. A tool that will tell you whether your specific programme is compliant.

How to use it responsibly

As a first-pass reference. Always verify against the primary source before relying on any entry for a licence application, a filing, or a product launch decision.

Not legal advice. Every page links back to the regulator's own document — go read the source text before you stake anything on what you read here.
